Weddings - Planning One To Remember

By Mark Walters

Planning a wedding can be an incredibly stressful time in your life. It is definitely not an easy task; however, there are things that you can do to keep your stress levels down. For starters, take the following ideas into account:

Venue And Time - The first item on your wedding planning list should be choosing the venue and setting the time. Weddings can take place anywhere, indoors or out of doors, within the city or out in the countryside. If you have decided on an indoor wedding, the next thing you need to decide is if you would like to have a church wedding, or if a hotel function room is more your style. On the other hand, if the outdoors is your picture perfect wedding spot, you will have to choose your desired environment - do you prefer the beach, or perhaps a garden? After you have decided the venue, you will have to think about what time you want your wedding to take place, morning, afternoon, or evening. As you make these decisions, you will need to keep your guests in mind, are the majority going to find your time a problem, or will they be able to make it to the venue?

Venue Decorations - No wedding is complete without the use of decor. Regardless of what venue you have chosen, you still have to dress it appropriately for the wedding. Without a doubt, flower arrangements are the first thing to look at. There are any number of flowers to choose from, you could have several kinds if you like, such as, daisies, roses, calla lilies and tulips. However, you should keep in mind that you will want flowers that will stay looking fresh and alive throughout the entirety of the wedding. If you just want to keep it simple, let's not forget that a wedding arch is not only significant to the ceremony itself, but also looks great in your wedding photos later. If you have chosen an indoor ceremony, such as a church, there may not be much that you can do to improve the look of the pews or chairs, however, decorating them with ribbons, tulle, and bows is sure to enhance their look.

Guests And Invitations - You will want to share your joy on your special day with all your family and friends, and you will want all your guests to have a lovely time. If you plan on feeding your guests, be sure that the menu is well-planned. Double count your guest list to ensure that you have provided enough food for everyone who is attending. If you like, you can ask your guests while the menu is still in the planning stage if they have any special dietary restrictions that would keep them from enjoying themselves. Plan your invitations so that they are in keeping with your decorations of the theme of your wedding.

These are a few of the basic elements of a good wedding. Remember, do not rush and be sure to make your decisions carefully. This is your special day, so enjoy all of the facets, including the planning, and everything else will fall into place.
